Thanks! I sat down to thinking about the parts of boots we never see, and ways in which we never see them. The tops are very nearly private art, hidden in the private lives of cowhands, while the pairs together are seldom seen as anything more than ranch tools. I’m trying to elevate them to a symbolic status, icons of the West and its legends.
This is a great start in that direction. Now, if you can represent them as a kind of Mt. Rushmore, you will cover all your bases and then some! I can’t imagine quite how though.
These could be columns in a large cathedral, or some other architectural feature. Not to mention darned nice boots.
