Aspens, Park County

I am neither the first nor the last artist to feel a magic attraction to aspens, and I spent a considerable number of predawn mornings giving into that desire. This conversation between five trees exuded personality and humanity, and I felt as though I were intruding on a private moment in the forest.

    1. You’re too kind. But I’ve also come to expect that from you. 🙂

I’m glad the goal of the image is realized, too; there was an inherent darkness and–dare I say it–resentfulness I felt in the trees, almost “clique-y.” It felt as though I had invited the scorn of the trees by interrupting their conversation.

      1. They were probably talking about YOU, which is why you got that sense of scorn!

(I actually don’t know anything about trees – you know where I live, so you know what I mean – so all of this is speculative.)
