These two cowboys at the Harrison fire hall were too tempting photographically for me to pass up making an image.
I have taken some ribbing over the years from my students over the number of plaid shirts I wear in the field; however, on this occasion, the two with me noticed a pattern in the chosen attire (sorry about the pun) of western Nebraskans that mirrored that of their professor.
“So that’s why you wear all that plaid?” Becca asked.
“Well, I like it, for one thing,” I answered, “but yes, I blend in more wearing plaid.”
But mostly, it’s because I like it, both to wear, and to shoot.
